Sustainability at The Chair (Mauritius) Ltd
Giving Each Chair a Second Life
At The Chair (Mauritius) Ltd, sustainability isn’t a buzzword but a core part of our business philosophy. In a world where fast consumption often trumps conscious choice, we’re flipping the script. Rather than tossing out a perfectly good chair at the first sign of wear, we ask a simple question: Why buy another chair when you can repair it?

As part of our commitment to the environment and local economy, we offer a full repair and maintenance service for office chairs. Whether it’s a worn-out mechanism, broken caster, tired upholstery, or a loose armrest—we stock a wide range of genuine spare parts to restore comfort, functionality, and style.
But our mission goes beyond repairs. We see every refurbishment as an opportunity to support local craft artisans, reduce landfill waste, and encourage responsible buying. Our zero-waste approach and use of locally sourced materials reflect our dedication to a more circular, sustainable future. By choosing to repair with us, you’re not only extending the life of your furniture—you’re empowering local workers, conserving resources, and making a smarter, more sustainable choice for your office.
Because at The Chair,
we believe every seat deserves to keep making a difference.
Why buy another chair
when you can repair it?
We believe in the power of sustainability and offer a refurbishment service which will collect your used, damaged, or unwanted chairs and breathe new life into them through the skills of our local craft artisans.
We use mostly locally sourced and supplied materials and operate a zero-wastage approach in our operations.
We also offer advisory solutions in terms of office layout and setup to ensure the products you seek blend in seamlessly in your office environment.
